A good time for all. On the first Saturday of the Spoleto festival season, you're going to want to be in the thick of things, and the thick of things would be Marion Square. So strap Sally and Scooter into their Bugaboos and head for the center of town, where there will be storytelling, dancing, music, and arts and crafts. Try to be there by noon when Atlanta's wacky Seed and Feed Marching Abominables will treat the crowds to the most colorful marching band performance you'll ever see.
Cheesy, but in a good way. Cabot Cheese of Vermont is sponsoring this year's kids' fest, which means they'll have a farmer on hand demonstrating how Cabot makes its famous cheddar cheese.
Fondling, but in a good way. The S.C. Aquarium will be setting up a touch tank out in Marion Square, so kids can get a feel for sea anemones, urchins, horseshoe crabs, and the like. Hopefully, they'll have some stingrays too. Those things feel weird.
