The only problem with eating at food trucks is trying to find them. But with the advent of technologies like Twitter and Facebook, which allow us to tell everyone where we are and what we’re doing, locating the mobile eateries has become a little bit easier. But for us members of the 1 percent (I’m referring to the 1 percent of people that don’t use social media), it can be pretty difficult to track them down. That’s why the first Food Truck Festival, held in Marion Square, is the perfect opportunity to get some grub from your favorite elusive truck or to try something new from one of the 14 others that will be there. Expect to see some favorites like Roti Rolls, Diggity Doughnuts, Hello My Name is BBQ, and Magic Cheese. There’ll also be live music, jump castles and face painting for the kids, and a gourmet coffee bar provided by LOCAL, who’s also sponsoring the after-party. Word is that the federation is gunning to make this an annual event, so make sure to come out and show your support for the best eats on the street.
