Double your pleasure. Usually, downtowners can only get their Farmers Market fix on Saturday, but the special Spoleto edition extends it to two days. That's one extra day of savory crepes, pickle samples, and all the farm-fresh Johns Island tomatoes your acid indigestion can stomach.

Go hungry. Leave happy. We love our local crafters and produce sellers who set up every week at the Farmers Market, but the main reason we go is for the food — so don't even think about eating beforehand. With vendors like Roots Ice Cream, Roti Rolls, and Rococo German Bakery, you can get a true taste of the city for not a lot of money. Bring a blanket and chow down on the green while listening to some bluegrass.

Maid Marion. Marion Square is the heart of the city, especially during the festival. Besides the typical farmers market offerings, you'll enjoy performances on the Piccolo Festival Stage, the Piccolo Outdoor Art Exhibition, and if you're lucky, you might even catch sight of the Seed and Feed Marching Abominables doing their wacky dance across the square.
