Move over Scary Spice, some real spice girls are coming to town. The Dames are a group of prestigious women who have made their mark in the culinary field as chefs, writers, business people, and more. Their new cookbook is Cooking with Les Dames d’Escoffier: At Home with the Women Who Shape the Way We Eat and Drink. The Art Institute of Charleston is throwing a soiree in honor of the Charleston Dames featured in the cookbook. Twelve different food stations will be set up — food writer and TV personality Nathalie Dupree is set to showcase her famous shrimp and grits. She will be joined by other foodies, like CIC teacher Patricia Agnew, who will make minestrone stew. Other goodies like biscuits, cookies, and wine will be served. Get your copy of the cookbook signed, hot off the press, by all the Charleston Dames, plus famed cookbook writer Anne Willian. Dame right.
