Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and any feeble attempts at maintaining your body’s health are going straight down the tubes. You could get in one last run, bike ride, or badminton game, but that’s a long way from the couch and TV. Solution? Go watch people be active instead, in real-D no less. The Charleston Classic starts on Thursday with some college basketball action. “We’re bringing a high-quality basketball tournament to Charleston,” promises Chuck Beddingfield, the managing director of the Charleston Classic. The eight teams (from Clemson, Davidson, Georgia, Nebraska, New Mexico, UAB, Temple, and UMass) will face off against each other over 12 games. The tournament will also feature high school bands, and on Thursday night, when Temple faces off against Clemson, the Dorchester and Charleston County Teachers of the Year will be honored. Tickets are available by sessions (each session is two games), or you could get all six sessions (12 games) of the tournament for $100.
