Charleston Arts Coalition planning program for young art-lovers

Road Show

The Charleston Arts Coalition currently has plans in the works to organize a New Audience Road Show. Funded by the S.C. Arts Commission, which has hosted a similar event in Columbia, the Road Show is targeted toward young adults interested in furthering their understanding of the arts. The program will focus on six local organizations from multiple arts disciplines — like dance, visual arts, and theater. Participants will take part in two behind-the-scenes events followed by a main event. Tickets for the entire series will be cheap (around $25) but limited (to around 20 participants, with friends), but obviously, it takes a big time commitment. Coordinator Stacy Huggins expects to start accepting applications in early summer. Keep your eye on for updates.
