The Central Mosque of Charleston invites people of all faiths for an open house to find out more about Islam and to meet local Muslims. Take a tour of the Mosque, ask questions, engage in dialogue, and enjoy some refreshments. There'll be two 20 minutes presentations scheduled. The one at at 3:10 p.m. will be an overview of Islam and at 3:30 the presentation will be about women in Islam followed by a question and answer session with panel. Visitors are requested to observe the following Mosque etiquette:
remove footwear upon entering the building, no food or drink into the prayer hall, and silence cell phones. Both men and women should wear modest clothing and should avoid handshakes with the opposite gender.
