Carolina's sold, Bacon safe

Storied bistro gets a new owner

The Post and Courier reports today that Carolina's has been sold to Florida restauratuer Joseph A. Meloy, a friend of Bill Hall of Hall's Chophouse.

We'd heard rumors of this exchange and are relieved to hear that Chef Jeremiah Bacon's position is safe. Meloy tells Warren Wise that he has no plans to make major changes to the bistro on Exchange Street, which he purchased from Richard Stoney, who also owns the Boathouse at Breach Inlet.
