Death metal band Cannibal Corpse headlines one of Oasis’ biggest showcase gigs of the year. The New York-based five-piece — singer George Fisher, bassist Alex Webster, drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz, and guitarists Rob Barrett and Pat O’Brien — have been grinding out gory, brutal metal with controversial lyrics and titles since 1988. They recorded their latest blood-drippin’ slab, Evisceration Plague, at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Fla., under the expert eye of Hate Eternal mastermind Erik Rutan. “I think it’s the tightest and most musically competent record we’ve ever done,” Webster says. “Not that the other ones weren’t competent, but it would be hard to find flaw with the execution of this one. The performances are rock solid.” The show is all-ages. Doors open at 7 p.m. —T. Ballard Lesemann
