Sunday brunch is nice, but Sunday brunch with a drag show is awesome. This weekend, Joe Pasta is teaming up with the local LBGTQI youth organization We Are Family to host a performance that’s sure to liven up your meal. The show will include a variety of dance and comedy routines and feature three of Charleston’s premier drag queens: Santina Dayzee, Kelly Brooks, and Tiara Fantine. Admission is $10, with 50 percent going directly to We Are Family. The brunch menu will be offered a la carte. “I think [events like this] are really important for kids to see that they are not just supported by organizations like us, but by a larger community as well,” says Melissa Moore, We Are Family’s executive director. “It ties local businesses, their families, and our non-profit together.” Brunch begins at 11 a.m., and the show starts at noon.
