With the amazing weather lately, I can’t spend enough time outside. If you’re looking for an excuse to be out and about, venture to Brick House Kitchen for its first Artisan and Crafts Market. At the outside market, you can browse the local vendor stations, which will have homemade jewelry, accessories, clothing, and more while enjoying live music by the Folly Beach Blue Grass Society. The Market invites novice vendors as well as the experienced to participate and show off their handmade creations. Janelle Wilfong, a local vendor who’s organizing the market, wants more of a variety of vendors. No matter your trade, from handmade jewelry to pottery to crazy sock puppets you’re welcome to join the event. For curious moms and dads, a kid’s tent will be set up for kids to participate and make their own arts and crafts while you browse. The Brick House Kitchen and Wilfong hope this will be the first of many craft markets at the restaurant’s intimate setting. “This is not just some restaurant throwing together a craft show in their parking lot. We’re hoping for the market to happen regularly on the first Saturday of the month,” Wilfong says.
