At Blu, the seafood is serious. So serious that they’ve garnered a platinum rating from the S.C. Aquarium’s Sustainable Seafood Institute, which means you can order the fish of the day and feel confident that it’s an environmentally responsible catch. Ostensibly a hotel restaurant located within the Tides Hotel, Blu is a casual place that also caters to the locals who recognize its unique beachfront setting (it’s surprising how few options there are on the beaches) and excellent fare, whether it’s surf and turf or shrimp and grits.
