Help bless the vines at Irvin~House Vineyards for the upcoming season. Father Greg Snyder from St. John’s Episcopal Church will be on site to pray over the vines and wish them well throughout the 2010 season. The day doesn’t stop there though — Irvin~House wants folks to stay awhile following the blessing. Smoky Weiner and the Hot Links will provide music as people munch on barbecue from Fiery Ron’s Home Team BBQ under the oaks. The event’s first-ever chili cook-off between 15 contestants will be judged by Ryan Nelson, Father Greg, and Joe Gibbs, but everyone will get a chance to try each chili once the competition is complete. The lucky winner will walk away with $500 in cash and prizes. —Marina Fleming
