If you’ve ever wondered where the line is between glamorous and gaudy — think fur coats and box wine — here it is. This Saturday, Bitch Please will host an electronic dance party at Boone's Bar. Bitch Please, the “ghetto glam” brainchild of Atlanta-based Charles Moreland, is a musical mish-mash of electronic, R&B, hip-hop, and dubstep. “He’s definitely one of the musicians that works hard on the road to get their name out,” says event promoter John Coleman. Bitch Please has performed many times in Charleston and has been on the festival track for the past few years. This time he’s coming back, light shows and projectors blazing. Local DJs Stumble, John Kutter, BLK Mrkt, JeffET, and OPUS will also perform. “It’s a pretty large line-up, a wide range of electronic music. It’s a high-energy, kinda sexy, kinda glitch-hop dance party,” says Coleman. “There’s a lot of electronic dance-based beats, but you also have DJs that drop hip-hop a cappellas that are sampled in.” And for just $5 a pop, how can you say no?
