We first saw a flyer stapled to the outer wall of an abandoned shop on King Street and we were taken aback by the blasphemous balls of it. This is the Bible Belt, is it not? We were intrigued, so we looked into it. What did we find? Charleston resident B.C. Kidd had penned a contemporary African-American myth about a crime-fighting, drug-world battling former addict. We’ve yet to read it, but we ordered it.
