Best Sign that Park Circle is Getting Classy No. 2

Stems and Skins

Staff Pick

Located next door to Lotus, the newest addition to PC doesn’t just share a similar facade with the Viet joint. Inside the wine bar, you’ll find the same downtown-hip vibe that attracts unmarried young professionals, empty nesters, and date nighters looking for something a little fancier than the other joints in the neighborhood — no offense intended. But what makes Stems and Skins truly shine are their small plates. On any given night, you may be able to order house-made ricotta and fermented honey, anchovy butter, tuna conserva, pickled eggs, octopus with celery, potato, and chorizo oil — fare that is radically different from any other joint in Park Circle. Oh, and they serve wine, charcuterie, and cocktails too. —Chris Haire
