Jeff Bridges' Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski has become so popular that even the RiverDogs hosted a baseball game revolving around the Coen Brothers classic, The Big Lebowski. It was a great event that, like most RiverDogs promotions, really pulled out all the stops. They offered White Russians to drink, bowling on the concourse, movie clips on the video board, and a trivia contest. The team even encouraged patrons to dress up as their favorite character and sold T-shirts featuring Charlie looking Dude-ish. As far out as the event was, not a whole lot of folks attended due to the pesky rain that threatened the proceedings. Here's hoping that the same won't happen this year. The Dog abides.
