Lebanese restaurant Leyla had a falling out with the opening chef, who abruptly left just a few months after opening. Vatche Megeurditchian, in a letter to Hanna Raskin, said he didn’t agree with how the place was operated. His last straw was when he was denied a glass of scotch after his shift. It’s a shame, because the food was reportedly good. But, as it turns out, no scotch, no work. It’s that simple.
