You may not be aware that Garden & Gun, the award-winning Southern culture magazine that we have editorial envy of, has its offices at the corner of King and Vanderhorst streets. It’s the perfect location for the Back Porch Sessions, the mag’s musical web series. They’ve invited acts like the Punch Brothers, J. J. Grey, and Holly Williams to play a couple of tunes out on their second-story porch, which they film and post to their website. Lucky Kudu customers have gotten a sneak peek, since G&G’s porch overlooks the coffee shop’s patio. There haven’t been many episodes so far, but we hope there are more to come in the future.
