The Charleston area has more than its fair share of great parks, from Park Circle's collection of mini-parks to the massive James Island County Park. And while most parks have jungle gyms and swing sets and the like for the little kiddies to play on, few if any have a sprawling playground like the one you'll find at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park. It's bigger than Mark Sanford's ego and twice as much fun. The best part: It's pretty much in the shade thanks to the mighty Ravenel Bridge above.
