Best Place to Buy a Copy of Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s Debut, the Bee Gee’s Odessa, and Alice Cooper’s Welcome to My Nightmare

Mr. K's

Staff Pick

Like many of you, some of us here at the City Paper haven’t bought a CD or a book in years. In many ways, buying an electronic copy is just so much better. Give us an iPad or give us, well, just give us something other than a drink coaster or a door stopper. However, if you’re a fan of vintage vinyl, Mr. K’s in North Charleston is a good place to start. One time, we snapped up the above albums, and we were grateful we did. Odessa, in particular, is a treat. Not only is it like some bizarre baroque mash-up of the Beatles, the Band, and English Lit rock, but the entire album cover is some sort of faux velvet. Viva los hermanos Gibb and viva Señor K.
