With its innovative exhibits, popular classes, and community atmosphere, Redux Contemporary Art Center has always been a sought-after place for local artists to rent studios. They've always boasted an impressive roster of artists in their rentable studios — like Sally Benedict, Charles Williams, Lulie Wallace, and Liz Vaughn — but they were having to turn away even more talent because of their limited space. But that all changed in August. The center expanded into a building next door, doubling their space and gaining more room for workshops. The 35 new studios filled up quickly with renters, and Redux's influence on the local contemporary art scene continues to grow.
