Best New Place for a Late-Night Entertainment District

NoMo

Staff Pick

Now that the city has ceded control of Upper King to hotels, tourists, and non-existent tech companies, it’s clear that the powers-that-be want Morrison Drive to be Charleston’s central entertainment district. The transition may take years. Heck, it may never happen. Lord knows the City of Charleston’s plans don’t always work out (see: Aquarium Wharf). But all of us here at the City Paper will be the first to welcome scores of new restaurants right here in our neighborhood. It’ll sure as hell make grabbing a happy-hour libation easier than ever.
