Best Miracle on Meeting Street

The Cougars defeat the Tar Heels

Staff Pick

When it comes to playing ranked teams, the College of Charleston’s men’s basketball team is, more often than not, the underdog. But that didn’t mean much on Jan. 6 when the Cougars defeated the then-No.9-ranked UNC Tar Heels. Andrew Goudelock led the Cougar’s scoring with 24 points over the Heels and was named Southern Conference Player of the Week. The Cougars were down by as much as 20 points; however, they turned around, tied up the game, and won in overtime. In one fell swoop, the Cougars proved that the little guys can not only win, but they can do it on ESPN.
