One of the most buzzworthy shows at Spoleto 2010 was Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, an all-male ballet troupe from New York. The fact that the world-renowned troupe has a local connection only made it more exciting. Member Robert Carter, a Charleston native who trained with Robert Ivey, appeared at the Spoleto Opening Ceremonies in a tutu and toe shoes and danced an excerpt from Swan Lake. The show went on to fill the Gaillard throughout the festival thanks to amusing but impressive performances.
