Taped in the rustic kitchen, dining room, and backyard of the Gullah Grub Restaurant on St. Helena Island (just outside of Beaufort), veteran chef and storyteller Bill Green is a funny and welcoming show host. Green and his authentic Gullah dishes have been featured on Martha Stewart Living and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, and on all of his televised sessions, he simply does his thing, cheerfully and casually. Green offers more than just Gullah recipes: On Gullah Grub, in his big straw hat, he speaks with a thick Geechee drawl as he roasts oysters, fries chicken, and barbecues ribs. Tune in on Saturdays at 3 p.m. on Comcast Channel 2. It's genuine Lowcountry entertainment.
