Striped Pig's Striped Pig

Staff Pick

During Temperance it was illegal to advertise the sale of liquor. So, an enterprising rum seller flew a flag with a "disguised" striped hog painted on it advertising viewings of an amazing striped pig, a.k.a booze. Well, the Charleston distillery has taken the gag into the 21st century by parading down King Street an actual pig painted with stripes on Second Sundays. And as one might guess, the trick gets just as much attention as it did during Prohibition.
