This city has scads of pizza places, but for authentic, as in you're bound to be greeted with “Buongiorno!” from Milan native owner Laura Zanotti, one has to go to La Pizzeria in Mt. Pleasant. The place is super simple, no fuss tables crammed into a corner strip mall space. The staff keeps it real hollering out orders to the kitchen crew, and no one is safe from teasing — you call a cannolli a profiterole and prepare to get called out by Zanotti. But it's all in good fun and the price tag and quality are well matched.
