Best Hideaway for Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate

Staff Pick

Tucked away in a quiet back corner of the Belle Hall Shopping Center, Uncorked offers a cozy, candle-lit atmosphere with handsome wine racks and bricked archways. There's an elegantly loungy, art-gallery feel to the place. Their weekday happy hour (4-7 p.m.) features $4 glasses of house red or white, craft beer specials, and $2 off the cheese of the day. At night, they often have fancy wines that normally sell by the bottle available by the glass at reasonable prices.Wine flights of three 2.5 oz. glasses are available for $12-$20. The chipper sommeliers are eager to suggest pairings between the wines and the "lite bites," which include an impressive list of olives, cheeses (soft, firm, or smelly), chocolates (dark, fruity, coffee-flavored, creamy, bon-bons), and spicy charcuterie. Bring a date.
