Map questions are good. They give students a lesson on how big (or small) our planet is. What’s not good is when the question is paired with the word “mistress.” And heaven forbid your kids take the time to track down Sanford’s e-mails to his South American soulmate. It’s easy to call Sanford a hypocrite for his biting critique of President Bill Clinton at the height of the Lewinsky scandal. But, in the governor’s case, at least children weren’t asking mom and dad uncomfortable questions about cigars.
