The 2012-2013 season saw new coaches on the sidelines of both of the College of Charleston basketball teams. Taking over for retiring coach Bobby Cremins, Doug Wojcik joined the Cougars' men's team with a resume that includes Tulsa, Michigan State, and North Carolina. He led the Cougars to yet another 20-win season with a signature win on the road against No. 24-ranked Baylor and a first-round bye in the team's last Southern Conference tournament. Meanwhile, women's head coach Natasha Adair, who came to Charleston with coaching experience from Georgetown and Wake Forest, fills the big shoes left by the program's winningest coach, Nancy Wilson, who retired this year after two tenures at CofC spanning 17 seasons. Headed by Adair, the Lady Cougars beat their previous season record against competition like UConn.
