You might have seen Hyman on TV or heard her on the radio, giving the whole city lumps in their throats over the stray dogs and kitties who need a new home. She handles community engagement for the nonprofit organization that takes care of 90 percent of Charleston County's abused, unwanted, and abandoned animals. Last year, the Society brought down overpopulation by 11 percent and had what they called their best year ever. Big ups, Kay.
