Best Consolation Prize for a Pilfered Life Savings

An Al Parish Yard Gnome

After allegedly bilking Charleston residents out of more than $90 million, Al Parish had very little he could offer in restitution. Parish's eccentric cars, homes, and extravagant pen collection were expected to be big sellers, but it was the former economic guru's massive gnome collection that was most coveted by some shoppers looking for a little souvenir of the scandal.
