The College of Charleston sailing team captured their first team race national championship in June, earning yet another national championship for the Cougars to go along with more than a dozen in various divisions. Going into the final races, the top-ranked team beat out St. Mary's, Hobart, William Smith, and Boston College in light wind over a series of races in Austin, Texas, to earn the school's first national championship since winning the women's dinghy national championship in 2010.
