Most women love Anthropologie. It’s a fact. If you disagree, then you obviously missed all the hubbub when the chain finally opened a shop on King Street this winter. Redux artist Lulie Wallace is such a fan of the store that when they offered to buy 22 of her one-of-a-kind still life paintings to sell in their catalog and stores, she could hardly believe it. Catalog subscribers could see Wallace’s vivid florals in the pages of Anthropologie’s summer edition, and Urban Outfitters (which is owned by the same company) also bought the rights to two of Wallace’s pieces. We’re not sure what Wallace did with her profits from the sale, but we can only assume
that she spent some of it at Anthro.
