We've lauded Marvin's Meats over the years. In 2008, we deemed it the best place to buy a whole pig, and when we were in the market for a whole pig, that's the first call we made. After 50 years in the business, Frank Marvin hung up his cleaver in the fall, selling off his freezers full of meats and leaving a hole in the whole hog marketplace. Now who will smoke us a hog for our next pig pickin'? And where can we find whole rabbits, goats, and haggis? Sad news, but Marvin deserves a happy retirement after a lifetime of hard work.
