When Thomas Ravenel is not penning op-eds for The Post and Courier denouncing the War on Drugs (not a surprise) or America's never-ending stream of foreign entanglements (shocker), he's apparently letting all of his Facebook friends know that he plans to renounce his U.S. citizenship. Or, at least, that's what happened in October. See, T. Rav got all hulked out because he couldn't own a firearm since, well, he's a convicted felon. And so he let it be known that he was going to say bye-bye to the good ol' U.S. of A. and move to a country where he could truly be free, evidently ignoring the fact that if he equates gun ownership with freedom, then he's pretty much shit out of luck everywhere else in the world. Shortly after the reports of Ravenel's renouncement became known, he backed off from his threat.
