When you rent an apartment at the Flats at Mixson, you’re getting more than just a swanky place to crash at night. The new-urban design lends itself to neighborly interactions, with ample common areas and amenities including an event barn, a fire pit, a clubhouse, community porches, and bocce courts. You’re within walking or biking distance of the Mixson Bath & Racquet Club, the upscale taqueria Básico, and the gourmet Mixson Market, not to mention the up-and-coming Park Circle neighborhood and its strip of popular bars and restaurants. Bonus: Mixson is also an extremely dog-friendly place to live, with a spacious dog park and dog washing stations. The Flats represent a slight change of focus from the original developers who initially envisioned Mixson as a close-knit collection of single-family homes and condos. That didn’t quite pan out during the Great Recession, but the reinvention seems to be working well.
