At first, it seems like an odd pairing — yoga and beer. Beer doesn’t really fit into the zen-like ideals of yoga. But then when you think about it, doing yoga at a brewery is very convenient. You’ve just done your tree pose and gotten physically and mentally centered, and now you can kick back with some yogi friends and get socially centered with a beer or two. And that’s exactly what Bendy Brewski Yoga does. The weekly classes are held at some of our local brew houses and distilleries — Freehouse Brewing on Mondays, Holy City Brewing on Sundays (just not this Easter Sunday), and High Wire Distilling — but this Tuesday we’re focused on the first one at Frothy Beard. Dress comfortably, bring a mat, and be prepared for 45 minutes of a relaxing mix of Hatha and Yin yoga with certified instructor Beth Cosi. If that doesn’t get you motivated, the beer tasting afterward should. And the class is for beginners, so don’t be intimidated if you aren’t the most flexible person out there. Growlers, bottles, and swag are available for purchase.
