Bambu Best in Show Bash

When: Thu., April 26, 5:30-9 p.m. 2012
Price: $35/advance, $40/door
Don’t call it a catwalk. At this year’s Bambu Best in Show Bash, fashion is going to the dogs. Think your pooch has what it takes to rock the red carpet? Put that four-legged strut to work as the Mt. Pleasant restaurant hosts a preview party for the Charleston Dog Show taking place the following week. Offering your frisky fashionista his or her time to shine in the spotlight, the doggie fashion show will highlight all the spring trends, from tutus to fairy wings, ending with the crowning of the fairest Fido of them all. With no age or weight limits applicable in the world of doggie modeling, contestants will be judged on their fashion, creativity, presentation, and personality (and maybe they’ll get bonus points for not wetting the red carpet). Tickets include Thai and Japanese appetizers from the chefs at Bambu, as well as beer and wine. Pre-registration is required and canine entry fees are $15. All proceeds benefit the Charleston Dog Show, Middleton Place Hounds, Lowcountry Golden Retriever Rescue, Lowcountry Lab Rescue, and Greyhound Pets of America.
