Awareness Rocks 2 at the Windjammer

Four bands to rock benefit for Head & Neck Cancer Alliance

Organized by the folks at MUSC's Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery department, Awareness Rocks 2 is an all-evening, rock 'n' roll benefit gig on Fri. Feb. 5 at the Windjammer on the IOP. Proceeds from the door ($10 donations) will benefit the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance (formerly known as the Yul Brynner Head & Neck Cancer Foundation).

Musical acts include (in order of appearance) Americana songwriter Ryan Bailey and company, rock quartet Wombat, anthemic cover band The Bad Signs, and indie quartet Steel Petals. A silent auction and hourly raffles will be drawn between bands for a variety of items donated by Charleston merchants and MUSC doctors.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and music runs from 6-10 p.m.

For more information, or to arrange a donation, contact MUSC Administrative Assistant Ann Durgun at durguna@musc.edu. Visit headandneck.org and the-windjammer.com for more.
