Art & Music: Eye Level

"Sunday Music Series" kicks off with Hip Young Gunslingers

Local gallery Eye Level Art recently announced a Sunday evening music series to coincide with a weekly art class at the 103 gallery at 103 Spring Street. Gallery coordinator Caroline Millard says this will be a weekly thing through the rest of the summer. "The gallery intends on making this a weekly event, featuring various musicians from across the Lowcountry." Interested musicians should contact for booking information.

On Sunday, Aug. 9, the weekly portrait class by local artist Max Miller will run from 6-8 p.m. Live music will kick up around 7:30 p.m. with a set from local indie/alternative band Hip Young Gunslingers. Guitarist Taylor Townes, bassist Zander Lyvers, and drummer Brett Nash formed the trio last spring and immediately started playing local house parties, CofC campus events, and special get-togethers.

Call the gallery at 843-425-3576 or visit for more.
