Anthony Bourdain returns to town

Tickets on sale Friday

As if local foodies haven't had enough mingling with the food superstars, Anthony Bourdain will be coming to town for a show at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. The press release is vague about what exactly the show is, but if you buy a $200 VIP ticket you'll get to schmooze with the tall and dashing star of No Reservations, a Travel Channel program that came to Charleston a couple years back. (Read the interview we were able to finagle with him over here.)

Bourdain's famous for writing Kitchen Confidential, a hilarious memoir of his life as a chef — drugs, knives, and all. And from some reviews of this tour I was able to find, he'll be sharing stories from the road and taking questions from the audience.

Tickets go on sale on Friday morning. Reserved seats are $45 & $35 (plus applicable fees), and a limited number of $200 VIP tickets will get you entry into an exclusive after-show reception on the stage of the North Charleston Performing Arts Center, a meet and greet with Mr. Bourdain, heavy hors d'oeuvres, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (must be 21+ to drink alcohol), and premium seating.

Of course, don't get too excited, because the show isn't until Nov. 12, 2010. That's a long way off.
