Creating a recipe is a work of art, and it’s one that James Beard Award-winner Anne Quatrano has mastered. The Atlanta-based chef — and part of the duo behind some of the city’s best restaurants, including Bacchanlia, Quinones at Bacchanalia, Floataway Café, and Abattoir — stops by Básico to celebrate the launch of her debut cookbook Summerland. But the folks at Mixson are putting Quatrano to work, having her prepare some of the highlights from her cookbook — as well as explain the inspiration behind the dishes and her culinary programs. After lunch, Quatrano will sign copies of her book, which is included in the ticket price. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Wholesome Wave South, whose mission is to increase accessibility — and affordability — of fresh foods to all communities.
