It’s not often you get to see renowned CBS News reporter Martha Teichner on the other side of the interview table. Teichner’s spent more than 35 years with CBS covering major world events including the fall of Communism in Central and Eastern Europe, the Romanian revolution, and the end of apartheid in South Africa, not to mention the many wars and conflicts she’s reported on throughout the Middle East. Spoleto audiences will know her well from the interview series that she conducts with directors, artists, and musicians during each festival, “Conversations With ...”. For this event, which is part of the Center for Women’s Women and Power series, the center’s executive director Jennet Robinson Alterman will ask Teichner about her journey to the top of her field. “She’s had quite an amazing life and is a very gifted individual,” Alterman says. “I thought it would be a nice turn of the tables for me to interview her.”
