Bay Street Biergarten has been ruling the bar game since they opened. And if you’ve ever gotten to sit at one of their tap tables, it’s kinda cool. You get to play your own bartender. But you know what sucks? When you forget you’re playing the bartender, get caught in conversation, and pour yourself a nice sudsy brew that’s all head. Well, the Biergarten’s tap takeovers want to help make sure that doesn’t happen. “Tap takeovers are a great fit for us because not only can people discuss the beer that they are drinking with an expert, but they can also learn how to pour their own beer,” says Kelcie Keith, marketing manager and event coordinator for Bay Street. “Our main concept is not only to educate people about craft beer but to also educate people how to pour a proper beer.” And this go around, Allagash Brewing will take over the taps with six of their brews: Allagash White, Black, Grand Cru, Victor, Victoria, and Confluence. Beer sippers will learn about Allagash’s brewing techniques, different styles, and flavor profiles.
