We’ve all heard it before, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And yet, so many of us ignore the facts and start the day off on the wrong foot. Saturday, ditch the jelly doughnut and find out the real way to eat breakfast.
Here to kick off Eat Local Month is Butcher & Bee’s all-local, all-you-SHOULD-eat breakfast. From poached eggs and vegetable hash to local sausage and freshly baked pastries, there will be plenty to delight your morning palate.
The chefs will be working with only the best seasonal ingredients — fresh, local produce from Thornhill Farm, local eggs, sausage, seafood, and dairy from Our Local Foods and blueberries from Blue Pearl Farms. For an added morning kick, they’ll also be serving Charleston Mix Bloody Marys. “It will be a reminder for some and an instruction for others that this is how you really eat breakfast,” says head chef Stuart Tracy. Vegetarian options are also available. Breakfast is served 8-11 a.m. with tickets available in advance.
