A highlight of the annual Lowcountry Blues Bashes, the All-Star Blues Jam and Oyster Roast showcase at the West Ashley Home Team BBQ is an authentic blues ’n’ roots revue, with a slew of local musicians taking their turns on stage. Co-presented by the Lowcountry Blues Club, this year’s all-local roster features several singer/guitarists and rhythm section cats, including Tommy Thunderfoot, Pawley’s Island blues-rock act My Buddy Todd, local trio the Tips, and hotshots from the weekly Blues Club jam sessions. Atlanta-based blues man William “Big Bill” Morganfield (pictured) — the son of legendary blues singer Muddy Waters —is the featured headline on Saturday evening. A regular at Charleston clubs, Morganfield recently visited Home Team behind his recent album Born Lover, a solid collection produced by guitarist Bob Margolin. Music runs from 2-9 p.m.
