In light of Tennessee William’s centenary, the Village Playhouse had no trouble choosing the first play of the season. It worked out on a personal level as well. “The Village Rep’s very first mainstage production 10 years ago was Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, so it felt right to bookend the decade with this piece, considered the very best of Tennessee Williams’ work,” says director Keely Enright. Center Stage founder Paul Rolfes stars as Stanley Kowalski, a New Orleans salesman with violent tendencies.
