Coming Out of the Cellar

AAA Four Diamond Award-winning restaurant Circa 1886, located in the lush Wentworth Mansion, has an offer any wine lover will find hard to refuse. Circa 1886 will waive the corkage fee and the cost is $100 per person. To experience this culinary delectation, interested diners are encouraged to contact Ginny Severs at 853-7828 to inform the restaurant of their wine selection and to reserve a table. --Laura Zapp

Smokin' Mount Pleasant

Three-year old Georgia restaurant Shane's Rib Shack has crossed the border and set up camp in Mt. Pleasant. Best known for its hand-cut baby back ribs, chicken, pork, and made-from-scratch sides, Shane's offers an authentic barbecue experience, with pork smoked for 10 hours. Slinging meat drenched in Shane's Sauce, a family recipe from founder Shane Thompson's grandfather, "Big Dad," this Shack is the youngest of the family, with the same menu as the original rib shack in McDonough, Ga. Shane's Rib Shack is located at 1909 Hwy. 17 N. --LZ
